The A55 amplifier hails from the Onix Debut series, it is considered the entry level amplifier from the new line of Onix products. The technical characteristics and quality of the individual components gives it a best buy status.
The performance is quite superb with ample power capability. The front panel is finished in black glass, with a steel volume knob and buttons placed ergonomically to select the sound source. The display utilises stunning blue lighting and it has 5 audio sources with a relay selector.
The rear panel has high quality RCA connectors and also features 4 big clamps in order to connect a pair of speakers that accept both cable and banana connectors - the power supply is completely filtered. The remote control is fashioned from solid aluminum specifically designed for the A 55 but capable of working with every Onix product - easy to use and intuitive.
All the components have been carefully selected and mounted on the motherboard in a neat fashion. Of particular regard is the toroidal transformer and the Sanken amplifiers mounted on top of cooling fins. This model is also equipped with Elna audio capacitors.
